What sadari means
Korean 사다리타기, or sadari, uses vertical paths and horizontal connectors to assign tasks, teams, prizes or turns. It is not a physical ladder-climbing activity.
A common setup
Place participants at the top and tasks or choices at the bottom. A host may draw the connectors, or each person may add one. Agree first on when drawing stops and when starts are chosen.
Reveal and verify
After everyone chooses, reveal each route by crossing at every connector. A digital version should keep the diagram fixed throughout the reveal.
- Use equal numbers of participants and outcomes.
- Agree beforehand to penalties or costs.
- Do not present a party draw as a profit system.
